Multi platinum musician and Clio (Disney) award winning composer Daniel Wehr has been mentored by Ennio Morricone and Claus Ogerman. He holds master's degrees in music performance and film composition from USC, Munich and Mannheim.
He arranges and orchestrates for Grammy-Award winning hitmakers including Seal, Katy Perry, Missy Elliot, Demi Lovato, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dog, Eminem, Kanye West, deadmau5, Daft Punk, Skrillex, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Take That, N-Sync, Julian Lennon, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, Alicia Keys, David Foster, Greg Phillinganes and Chick Corea.
In Hollywood, Daniel collaborates with film composers Hans Zimmer, Michael Giacchino, John Powell, Mark Mothersbaugh, Michael Nyman and Christopher Young on movies such as Spiderman 3, The Dark Knight, Sinister, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Moana and video games including Death Stranding, Ghost of Tshshima, Star Wars and Uncharted 3.
Daniel wrote the music for the 53rd - 57th Grammy Awards. The Two Killings of Sam Cooke, part of Netflix's ReMastered series, was nominated for the NAACP Image Award. Never losing sight of concert work, Daniel composed the commissioned piece Thalamus, conducting its Carnegie Hall premiere.
In 2005, Daniel founded Collagé, a global multimedia-platform, uniting numerous art forms, cultures and artists. He is CEO of the custom music and licensing company CineTronic Music for film, advertisement and games.
Being passionate about teaching, Daniel cofounded the annual Hollywood Music Workshop in Vienna. He gives master classes at USC and holds workshops at renowned universities in Europe. In 2022, he joined the faculty at Berklee College of Music.
